"All
the world ’s a stage,
And all the men and women merely players."

Shakespeare (1564–1616)

Feelings

I
feel helpless
Hearing the world sighing, crying
People weeping and mourning
Over lost hopes and dreams that could have been
|
|
|
|
I
feel sad
Seeing the world tear itself apart
People fighting, screaming, killing
For a lost dream, a lost hope, a false peace
|
|
|
|
I
feel my heart ache
Reaching out but not touching
People who are broken, indifferent
Separated by man-made barriers
Alone, aching, hurting
|
|
|
|
Yet
I feel comforted
Hearing, seeing, feeling
The world groan and ache
As a woman in labor
Giving birth to new hopes, new dreams New
lives and peace

Thought:
"A woman when she is in travail
hath sorrow, because her hour is come;
but as soon as she is delivered of the child,
she remembereth no more the no more the anguish,
for the joy that a man is born into the world."
St. John 16:21 (KJV)
