"The
nature of the universe is the nature of things that are. Now, things
that are have kinship with things that are from the beginning. Further,
this nature is styled Truth; and it is the first cause of all that is
true."
Marcus
Aurelius (121–180)

Seeking
© August 1980 |
I
looked to the hills
The valley below
For peace and rest
Balm for my soul
I
looked in the skies
The clouds they made
But night would come
The skies would fade
I
pondered the stars --
The Milky Way
But
stars would die
At break of day
I
looked with my heart
For One, Who's meek
And found close by
The One I seek
My
soul is at peace
Why should I fear?
My soul is at rest
When God is near

Thought:
"That they should seek the Lord,
if hapy they might feel after Him, and find Him,
though He be not far from every one of us;"
Acts 17:27 (KJV)
