You were like a
shooting star
Millions saw you from afar
Flaming in the night time sky
Then disappearing up on high |
|
|
|
But those
who saw your fleeting light
Were warmed in spirit by your sight
Touching hearts like gentle fire
Kindling hope in our desire |

Though many were not
there to see
You linger in our memory
You did not leave us quite the same
For part of us, you became |
